Great little restaurant that has been here for over 30 years and run by the sane Madeiran family. The welcome iis great with the traditional Madeiran drink. Food is reasonably priced and is a small select menu of meats, fish salads, spaghetti bolognese etc. The sweets are delicious and they are very accommodating should you want to eat something that is not on the menu. They will try to accommodate this if they can. Very good wine selection at reasonable prices from a glass to half a karaf, to bottle. All in all a good experience. Will certainly go back again.

For value for money this is the best place to go. Family run and everyone is made most welcome. When on holiday we go 2 times each week. Note - closed on Mondays.

Excellent scabbard fish with banana, as well as steak in pepper sauce. Good price for local food and wine. Excellent for a relaxed supper. Staff speak excellent English, much better than my Portuguese.

Best deal for a lunch or dinner 4 course menu in Funchal 13 euro or 15.50 with wine and coffee included. I went here twice during my stay. Don't miss the espetada beef skewers! Excellent price and taste. Staff is great too.

The food is very good and the portions are big.For a cheaper experience you can ask for "tourist menu" with good food, a soup, meat/fish and desserts.
